All too often in my practice I come across common pitfalls parents make - the biggest being "caring too much" for their children. Being a parent myself, I deeply understand the draw to wanting nothing but the best for your children and doing everything within your power to help them avert disasters or failure. Unfortunately, in the process parents will protect their children from failure and without intention will interfere with the child's ability to assume responsibility and accountability, handle the failure and grow. This article does a very nice job of outlining important key points parents can keep in mind in growing their children to become leaders.
